“We are the GCA Groupe Charles André, automotive logistics division. We operate from 32 finished vehicle storage sites in Europe with sea, rail and road connections. We have 1,400 car carriers to carry out these transport operations. We operate on all types of vehicles: light and heavy vehicles and light utility vehicles. Our specialized workshops carry out post-production preparations, preparations before delivery and also repackaging.
Inspection assisted by artificial intelligence has allowed us to standardize, accelerate and above all improve all of our inspections. The fact that all our vehicles are scanned by the station gives us complete and documented information. This helps us enormously to generate transparency with our customers and avoid conflicts.
First of all, it considerably improves the relationships we have with our customers since we offer transparency and significant responsiveness. No one discusses the proof of damage anymore. Our documented and complete time-stamped reports are available to be sent by email or transferred via our APIs into our systems.
The inspection reports actually allow us to better understand our damage management with our customers. This transparency has reduced our costs considerably, in any case enough to amortize the cost of the station.
The entire installation process was extremely quick. We were able to complete our inspections within a few days. As for maintenance, there is hardly any just to follow the camera’s windows once a month. The tablet application contains easy-to-use support tools. We will be able to quickly document problems and suggestions which will be taken care of within a few hours by the ProovStation teams.
The desktop and tablet are simple and easy to use because they are customizable to fit our processes. They help standardize our inspection guidelines. We can also use it to carry out vehicle inspections and validate the results of artificial intelligence on the tablet, even remotely from a desktop computer.”
